The Mini Lops did really well in Richmond! Most notably, I exhibited my second litter of Holland Lops. No, they didn't win anything, but after 14 months of hard work, I finally had something to even bring to a show.

It's been 23 years since my cages were new--and even then they weren't new new. They were my 4-Hers. That's a pretty good track record, I'd say. But alas it's time to get rid of them all and bring in the new. Over the next few months all of my cages are going to be replaced--and even a few added to better accommodate the Hollands and their unique needs.

With this, visitors are now going to be hosted in my garage and not necessarily the barn. The primary reason to this is one bad apple in the whole pie: last year, I came home to find a "customer" (so they called themselves) unlocking my gate and wandering through my backyard (which is surrounded by an 8 foot privacy fence). After this extremely disconcerting experience, I've had to rethink the "flow" of the "business". To maintain my own privacy, and safety, I'm now asking visitors to keep to the reception center. 

I am more than happy to bring any number of rabbits down to you--parents, litter mates, whatever you want to see to obtain the piece of mind that your rabbit is healthy, happy and well-adjusted.

As always, you're more than welcome to make an appointment and come see me.  

I added a pet sitting section.

Yes, I can pet sit. Any type of pet! I can come to you if you live in the area, but mostly prefer that you bring your animals to me. 

Please note, that I do have a contract for you to sign. It's not much, but covers what happens should something happen and if you don't pick the animal back up (yes, I have had this happen). I am more than happy to send you the contract prior to your committing to bring your animal here or use me. I just want to be up front that I require this to be signed. 

In fact, I'll likely add this to the pet sitting section when I get around to it. Just to make it easier for everyone.

I updated the Winnings page with the two legs we won at Westminster, MD (Horn's Colton and Horn's Hillary). 

Speaking of that show--it was a great show as always! The men managing the kitchen will forever be a delight. If for no other reason than their yelling at each other: "Keep making the sandwiches"
"What?!"
"Keep. Making. The. Sandwiches."
"I think I'm going to keep making the sandwiches."

I have every intention of actually having Holland Lops to show there next year.

I always have something for sale, and will try to get them up on here as time permits. Today's is Horn's Colton. He's pet only as he has two different color eyes. He's only 6 months old, and is actually a fairly well-mannered busy body (in other words, doesn't spray, but may eat every wire in the house). Pictures and video is up on the sale page.

Just an FYI, at this time, we should have 9 litters due in the next 3 weeks. Assuming mother nature works with me, three of these litters are Holland Lops.

Congratulations to all the hard work of everyone in MARCS! The 2013 American Rabbit Breeders Association Convention has been awarded to Harrisburg, PA. I hope everyone in the area takes this opportunity to come on out and see what we're all about.

In the meantime, we will be showing at the 2012 ARBA Convention in Wichita, KS. Hopefully this year I'll even have a few Hollands to debut!

Sorry for not updating in awhile! As some of you know, I work for the Red Cross--and the disaster "season" has been CRAZY this year. Since the site is left to me to update, it's often neglected.
